Hello! My name is Michelle Hird …

Developing the illustrative voice and library for Sage and acting as Illustration Lead.

Published author and illustrator of children’s storybooks: Binx the Jinx and Binx Lost in France (available in Waterstones, Foyles and Amazon).

I have come to develop my own illustrative language; however, the twelve years of the industry experience has made me versatile in graphic styles. I possess vivid imagination that helps me to provide illustrations and graphics for text, ideas, and situations – with a natural talent for selection of colours to suit the overall context.

In my past, I have worked with a whole range of clients from Vitality Magazine, Nestle, O2, Zurich, IKEA to Disney.

Binx the Jinx Published by Tiny Tree
Binx is a black cat who loves to play and explore. In fact, he’s the most curious cat around. A happy-go-lucky little guy, he’s always trying to make friends. It’s just a shame that so many people think black cats are bad luck.
Binx Lost in France Published by Tiny Tree
Wandering around the city with glee, he soon realised he’d lost his family. An unexpected adventure — oh, what a mess. Luckily, his senses were up to the test. Thankfully, he’d learned well and knew what to do. And now Binx the black cat wants you to know too!
